Their Way is the Only Way?

Christians like to hide cruelty and judgment behind an idea that it’s somehow being loving toward others. I don’t think they realize they are doing it at all. The church plays God, pretending to be God-like and hiding behind authority.

I feel in my heart that the Church needs Christ more than God needs the church and the church as a body is just as sinful as any person.

We need to trust that Christ is doing his job eternally, and God wants Humanity to become better. Or course, this means we must evolve our heart. Wouldn’t there be an opportunity for sins to transform to a place where we are more knowledgeable and more humane than we were 2,000 years ago as a society? Christ preached on understanding others better, having compassion, and love, without judgment. Yet we don’t seem to have evolved that thinking.

In many cases there is still that belief that sin is somehow explainable by others and outside of the person committing it. Certainly we are no longer stoning each other, or beheading, but words do injure. Attitudes separate and can cause others to move away from God. Fellow believers need to set an example of God’s love, not speculate on how others should be judged and try to disguise it as love.  If sin truly begets sin, then it is a sin to judge one’s fellow humans, and whatever sin they supposedly do.

Throughout the bible, God grows as a person. Finally coming to earth to understand humanity as our Brother, Jesus Christ, or Yeshua. The word of God transforms over time. The bible is a living book. there are 450 different versions, or translations in English alone, and 736 different languages in total.

Humans, with the help of the Holy Spirit, have begun to be inspired to elevate the bible to the modern day. Where once women were property, and people owned slaves and were slaves, we’ve recognized that the bible doesn’t condone slavery or ownership of women. No, the bible has been elevated to show that all people are equal, not just men. We’re started to recognize that the Holy Spirit is like the companion for God the Father, and Jesus is like a brother to us. Leading us and supporting us in the dark alleys of our souls. God created us in God’s image. Ideas of women Pastors were radical at certain times in history, in some churches, they still are.

There are over 45,000 denominations of Christianity. Pentecostal, Presbyterian, Lutheran, Baptist, Apostolic, Methodist, Universalism, Four-Square, and on, and on.

We believe in the value and humanity of every person. Women can be Pastors, LGBTQ+ people living in loving relationships are supported as equals. We don’t condemn your relationship with your spouse.
